Booooo! Poorly today :(

What a crock of shit!! Today I was all stiffy-poo :(

Me and Baby brack came in like good boys and seemed fine, had some lovely timmy hay and had my tootsies seen to (outside of the stable today with treats as blackmail! or bribery? hmmmm), it was hard to lift the front ones again, aybe thats cos my hinds are tired and sore? I dunno. TW says my feet dont feel hot and my cresty bit is ok but maybe my footsies are sore? :(

Got tacked up nice and sharp and stood like an angel when TW mounted :) what a good boy! We went for a wander round the yard but theres no hawthorn or nice stuff knocking about at the mo. RUBBISH!!

Off we went and TW wanted to go out of the village. She noticed straight away that I was a bit sluggish (tried to turn up the short way and when she said no I tried to get on someones garden! oopsy!) but hoped I'd be ok after a bit. I tried stretching my head down a bit but that didnt help :( TGTM who was riding Brack said I looked a bit stiff today but we carried on a bit further. Over the road onto the bridlepath and trundled along the side of the field. Bracky overtook me I WAS THAT SLOW! FFS thats no fun. When we came back to the bridlepath TW let me choose where to go. HOME!!!

TGTM had a go at getting Brack to keep going t'other way but the wee monkey declined. Heheheh we iz bad boyz! As soon as we got back to the village TW jumped off me to let me stretch and TGTM whizzed off on Brack....hehehe NAE LUCK B!

Got back to the yard and did some munching and got to eat loads of food. Yum! Brack wasnt impressed when he got back and realised I'd eaten his grub! TW then decided to give me a lovely massage on the yard (extra hay to keep me occupied!). We started off with the buzzy lecy thing but it started too heat up and smell funny! Not good. So then TW got some yummy minty massage oil out. She bought it from Your Horse Live thingy especially for ponies with sore muscles, its meant to heat up if you need warmer muscles and to be cold of you need cooling down. Was nice :) TW thinks my stifley bits are a bit tight again.

I finished my hay and then me and Bracky went back to the field. TW had put some new grass out ! Woohooo! I tried really hard to canter down to it but my stiff legs couldnt manage. Boo! Did a nice fast trot though.

Hope I feel better soon.

A wee spot of cross country practise.....

Hooray the rain has stopped! Swampy field will hopefully dry up! Yesterday in all that wind some of the fence between us and the dorks BLEW DOWN!!! FFS!!

Me and the Brack were quire happy to come in this morning and we were in for a super treat. Big deep straw beds in the stable! A-MAZE-ING! When we were tucked up with some lovely hay TW disappeared with Ruby dawg to do some poo picking. Me and Bee had a lovely relax and let our tootsies dry off, they were all soggy and muddy cos round by our water trough is like a bleddy bog!

TW came back after about an hour and Ruby tried to pick a fight with that big Enzo mutt. Dawgs are sooooo lound and annoying! Soon there was just us and TW left on the yard which was nice : D it doesn't happen very often. She was sat in the tack room drinking tea and eating some kind of sweety things, greedy guts! She said she didn't feel very well again and was trying to decide if she could be arsed to ride today. Blemin lazy daisy! Anyhoo all of a sudden she got her mojo back and in a sudden scurry of energy she started buzzing round me getting ready to go.

Weight tape - check! Today I'm about 411kg maybe a wee bit less which means despite all the extra hay this week I've been having has all been used up keeping me warm. Brrrrrrr! Tacked up super quick and off we went (lazy beggar didnt pick my tootsies out - shoddy horse owner!). I stood nice so she could hop on but then I was off to eat the grass...hehehehe oops!

Off we went down the drive and before TW could argue I was off left up the street hehehehe. Had a nice march on but the street was a bit busy. I kindly hopped on the pavement to let a couple of silly cars past and then we were on the wee bridlepath.

Jeez it was slippy down there :( my hind legs were slipping and sliding all over the shop. Them big ponces were spying on me which I didn't like, I crept really sllllooooooowly past them and then we were on the nice grassy flat bit was good. I kept suggesting that we could turn right and pootly illegally through some big fields but TW was mean and said no. RUDE! We were gonna go straight on at the bench bit there was a naughty dog walker with a big thing that looked like it wanted to chase me so we went right instead. TW asked if I wanted to trot but I ignored her cos I'd got no energy for faster today. On and on we pootled and then we decided to have a muck about. It was GREAT FUN! We kept sneaking through holes in the hedges and going up and down wee slopy bits , we sneaked in and out of the field a few times and managed to scramble up a really steep bit. Passed a lovely ditch for jumping...maybe later in the year ; )

Me and TW were pretending that we were at Badminton Horse Trials or something, was fab! But all too soon we were on our way home, past the dorks and the girls (think that new ginger one fancies me), up the slippy slopey bit by Zoe's hay then back into the village. As we got into the village we met a nice lady who was complimenting me on my lovliness!!! She was interested in my sore EPSM stuff too and offered me an apple....couldnt believe it TW let me have it!!!! I nearly fainted! I kept it in my mouth for ages but then chomped it up, DELICIOUS! TW popped off me and we had a lovely stroll back to the yard for more hay and then grub.

Lovely day! Really hope Bee can come out with me tomorrow :)

naughty Bracken!! and a freezing hack

Awwwww Bracky pants wuz naughty!!! When TW got to the field , she shouted "Frank, where's Bracky?", the little old bogger had got out of the strip and was standing by the big boys fence! Surrounded by loads of grass!! NAUGHTY!!

I walked all the way up to meet TW and then we walked together down the field so I could show her exactly what Bracky had done. Tut Tut!! She was surprised that I hadn't gone with him, how rude!!! I then walked back up with TW and then she took me to the yard and gave me some lurvely hay! Nom nom!

Poor TW then had to walk back to the field to sort baby Brack out, she caught him fine but he then had a full on paddy galloping and bucking round the field. LOSER!!! Soon enough he was in the stable eating abit of hay ...GREEDY GUTS!!! That belly wuz full!!

No messing about again today, she sure can be determined when she's poorly! Feet picked out (yeah yeah same old story with that front yin again), tack on (saddle seemed to be sitting better today) texts sent to let peeps know where we were going...and then we were awf!! Brack shouting as per normal.

Today TW wanted to go over the road..I on the other hand wasn't sure and offered to just walk round the village instead. Or on someones garden. TW said thanks for the suggestions bud but keep going! Rude!! My little legs were creeping rather slowly this morning, TW didn't know if this was cos I wa stiff / sore or cos I felt a bit lazy or scared on my todd. In the end she gave me a wee kick! OOF!! She hardly ever does that :( I pulled a face and jogged forward and before you knew it we were on the main road, turning right then onto the bridlepath.

It was a lovely sunny day but bleddy freezing! I felt more confident than last time so there was no napping and we just dondered along together in the sun, it was nice! Every so often TW practised standing up in her stirrups taking her weight off my back - feels wierd! We agreed that her stirrups need shortening to do it properly!

Down the grassy tracks, left round the wierd buidlings where I spotted a man walking round the field with a stoopid spaniel! BOG OFF!! On and past the house and then I considered turning up the other path..TW laughed and said " we're not allowed up there" so I got back on track. We were makng better time than last time we did it I think : D

We kept on going, I liked walking on the verges today, passed a Sainsburys van , up the little steep bit ( in walk) and round the little graveyard bit. TW then asked me to walk up a bit of the grassy bridlepath...this was further than we'd ever been before! Hmmm! I was a bit scared but I managed it, just up to the first hedge, we'll go further next time.

Turned round at the hedge and then OH JEEZ! Stupid dog alert. There was a big stupid lurcher thing bounding about just in front of us. Its owner got it on a lead thing but the stupid fecker lay down as I got close to it. Feck off dumbass you're not playing with me!! We got past it though and through the big much heap and back on the track.

Going back the wind was awful cold, TW's eyes were streaming (as was her snotty nose!) so I did a grand job of looking out for scary things. I was marching along lovely! Back through the space station nonsense, bast the demon bench...I could hear the monster before I saw it. TW knew too and tried to make me go wide to see what it was round the corner. EEEEEKKKK I jumped sideways ( I always make sure I catch TW before she falls off). JEEZ LOUISE!! It was just a stoopid fecking little dog and its owner litter picking! "oops a daisy" said TW, who was mightily relieved a) that she hadn't fallen off and b) that my spook didnt take us both over the edge of the ditch!!. Nevermind..onwards and upwards.

Kept on marching, did some more standing in her stirrups nonsense then I could hear summat behind. I'm very good like that, I always let TW know when I can hear something (her ears aren't as fab as mine) and to be fair to her she always listens. It was a runner and a dog so we turned round to face them and pased us they went. Some more marching and the stupid dog and runner are coming back towards us. I sensed something was up and TW knew it too. CHEEKY BLEDDY MONGREL only growled and snapped at me when he went past. RUDDDDDDDDDE!!!!!!! Just what you want when you're nearly on the main road, in fact it was the same place where that dog tried to eat me and Brack a few weeks ago! Grrrrr!!

Onto the road, back to the village where TW jumped off. Passed Rob and rider who were heading out (lazy gets!!) then back for some grub! Bracky was pleased to see us but TW soon chucked him out in the field (she likes to think he'll eat the grass before I get there!).

I had my hay and my food with my PJ's on while TW sat in my stable trying to get warm, Bless her she was absolutely frozzling. Her parents popped to the yard to do a bit of DIY but TW was grumpy and poorly. Tut tut! Anyhoo, soon it was time for me to be turned out in the field too. Brack was stood dozing when I got there, I went and stood at the top of the field then TW made to start running down the field...Didnt need asking twice...yeeeehawwwww off I cantered down the field, past TW and down to Bracky pants to eat the new grass! Lush!! Best make the most of it cos I think there's mutterings about muzzles going on....

Happy New Years Solo Hacking

Happy new year dudes!!!!

The worrier was snot ridden and manky this morning when she came to the field. We were standing right at the end of the world (alright, by the end of our track looking longingly at all the grass that was on offer just beyond our nasty ley fencing. ). I started marching as soon as I saw her, bleddy famished I was. I did a lovely impression of one of them super-model types, gliding up the field with lovely long strides. That wee focker was jealous and started trotting and overtook me cos he realised that she'd got grub with her!! Arse! She chucked some hay for Bracky-pants (I managed to grab a few yummy mouthfuls) and then me and her went up to the stables.

Up the stables we bimbled and then I got stuck into my lovely hay by timothy. Stupid woman wanted to pick my feet out while I was eating. FECK OFF!!!! I let her do them eventually though (bleddy tea tree again! grrrr) although it did take the offer of some sweeties to go the front right one again. Oooops!!

She tacked me up super quick again, snuffling and sneezing as she went. I was a good boy and let her get on me nicely and off we trundled.

AY UP??? You want me to go where?? The cheeky beggar only sent me down towards that bleddy A60 road. Grrrrrrr! Alright I'll give it ago...it was reet windy tbh and I had a couple of goes at turning round and coming home but we perservered. I kept hearing a funny noise it sounded like a horn...and dogs barking. Ooooh are we hunting? TW heard it too and felt a bit nervous but she said "its ok Frank the hunt don't come this way, honestly, I'm sure". Bless her little anxious purple socks!

Down the main road until we got to the corner house in Bunny then turned left and down the road there. There was quite a bit of traffic about which was surprising....a couple of sneely olde yins on bikes came past us on a few occassions, TW shouted "Morning " to them...THEY BLEDDY IGNORED HER! RUUUUUDDDDDDEEE!!!! Next time I'll pretend I don't hear them and then I'll spook and knock em off!! Hahahahah that'll teach them!!! Does it not occur to them that I'm a sensitive flower not a fecking lump of metal!! Aaaargh!!

Every so often I kept messing with my head and wanting to stretch down so TW let me trundle along on a loose rein, I did ok at staying straight though. I think my muscles were feeling a bit tight and thats why I have to stretch down sometimes. She asked me if I fancies a trot but I ignored her, no energy today :( At the end of the road we turned left and I did ok on all the little nasty stony bits. That road is really higgeldy piggely and hurts my legs so I tried to walk in the middle of the road...TW suggested that the grass verge might be better though. I was getting really tired now and TW asked me if she should get off, I thought about it but then the road flattened out again and it was ok again. Then back onto the main road, passed the creepy spooky houses and into the village where she jumped off me again. Pheweeee.

That was hard work! I was quite sweatty, that wa the first time we'd hacked on the roads on our own. TW said she was really proud of me : D

Back into the stables, PJ's on and more hay. TW made my grup up and decided to put extra alcar in to see if that could help. Silly focker put too much salt in it by mistake, errrrr it were BOGGIN!!! I decided not to eat it so TW took it down to the field cos she hoped I might eat it later. Maybe if i get desparate....

Brack had left the hay in the field so I set to work yomming and nomming that down while TW gave Bee some cuddles and did some poo picking. Yum yum yum nom nom nom....Ay??? Bleddy Nora!!! Out of the corner of my eye I realised that old bogger pants had got new grass!! Whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I cantered all the way down and barged him out of the way! Save that hay for later. TW wonders why I can canter so well in the field and have no energy on our hacks...she is going to do an experiment and lose some weight to see if that makes a difference ; ) Wonder when she'll start faffing with saddles again too....LOL

a lovely solo hack

Brrrrr twas a wee bit nippy this morning! Me and the Brack-lyn played a SUPER trick on the worrier this morning! When we heard her coming we scuttled up right close to the water trough near the dimwit big boys. She was having a right panic cos she couldnt see us! Lol!!! Pesky Pixie next door thought it was well funny hehehehe.

Anyhoo, due to the significant lack of yummy green stuff in the new field lay out we both decided to come in for a bit of grub. We pootled along through the village and I had my obligatory wee trotsy up the drive then it was in for the timothy stuff. TW was quite keen to get cracking today ( she's enjoying sitting on the arse watching Miss Marples too much I reckon!!)...feet picked out and spreyed (YES ALRIGHT THAT FOOT IS STILL SORE!!! FECK OFF WITH YOUR TEA TREE!), weight tape - still bob on 411kg which is grand news. Be good when TW gets down to her ideal weight too ; )

She tacked me up and off to the slippery slimy mounting block with Brack gobbing off as usual. I stood like a little soldier at the mounting block! Now thats a good sign that my back is feeling ok says TW. Off we trundled through the village and down to the wee bridlepath. I didnt mind even though we've done this one a few times recently, TW is letting me take it easy as long as we do a bit of work nearly every day thats all that matters at the moment. BTW she's shortened her legs a bit recently which keeps her legs in a better position, she really likes to ride with long legs but that makes her sit like an armchair! Tut tut!!

So off down the wee bridlepath, stopped to smile at lovely Zo and then tootled on by. No sign of the wee nutkins galloping about which was good. We saw a wee dog and its walker and then turned right at the bench. The path seemed alot flatter than last year which is good, I wanted to walk on the nice grassy bits not the slippy mud! As we walked down the path me and TW were having the same thoughts!!! There were lovely ditches and hedges and grassy paths in the field - all waiting for us to gallop over them! I'd love to be able to do that! So would TW, I hope we can manage it this year!

I was walking ok today , nice and relaxed, long rein which was lovely. I tried to have a nibble of grass at one point but TW said no so I was a good boy! She asked me if I fancied a trot but tbh I couldnt be arsed today. I like going FAST in company but sometimes its nice just to have a donder.

We didnt go all the way today as TW thought I was maybe a bit tired, we just went to the bird housey thing - no sign of them bird scarers today. We nipped down a wee slope into a field and back up again to turn round. Love doing stuff like that pretending to be at Badminton heheheeh. Then off home we pootled, past another dog walker, nipped up a nice wee slope to say ello to Zo again then off she jumped and we walked through the village side by side which was nice.

Brack started screaming as soon as he heard us! Bless him! His friend is back soon so hopefully she an ride him sometimes cos he gets awful bored! Then we had our lovely grub and back to the field! TW thought I looked a bit grumpy on the way back to the field, I tried to nip her :( Ooops!! I get grumpy when I feel stiff! In the field I went straight to the water for a big drink , Brack rolled as usual! Muddy freak! You should see it round our water trough! Its like a bleddy swamp! Yuck!!

TW started running down the field...Nutter! She wanted us to follow her, FECK THAT I thought. There she was huffing and puffing heheheh loves watching her! Then BOGGER ME!!!! MORE GRASS!!! Flat out I went down the field (Looking GAWJUS!!) with wee Brack trying his best to catch me up! YEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Amazing! Cheeky beggar didnt bring us any hay to the field though :( Boooo!!!

Saturday, 24 December 2011

Today is apparently a special day, Christmas Evil or something? Sounds wierd I reckon! Anyway, the worrier says she cant be arsed with Chrimble this year. Anti-social ratbag!

Unusually for a weekend, she did some shite-picking before bringing us in. Well I say us, but it was me as Brack went and stood in his sulky corner and refused to come in. When me and TW were back at the stables all we could hear was him screaming in the field so she went back and got him too. Stupid focker.

We were gonna go out for a tootle on our own again today but after faffing around a bit with parsnip stretches (WTF?) and cups of tea she decided we'd go out with Robbie and his mum cos they were only doing a "short one". TW was happy with the idea of a wee one as she's being uber careful with me at the mo. She was pleased that my sheath wasn't swollen today and thinks it must be due to http://www.hiltonherbs.com/products/metabolyte-gold/277

So off we set, Rob in the front as usual (he has longer legs than me :( ). TW was worrying straight away today as I was messing with my head alot and wanting to stretch down. She thought about getting off but thought we'd go abit further. Down the wee bridlepath we went like yesterday, passed the twonks (TW says Eol is in love with Zoe lol), I managed to take the lead a bit as Robster struggles down hill but the old git overtook me when we were back on the flat.

This time we turned right at the bench ( I bleddy hate benches!!) and that Rob was steaming ahead with his stupid old legs. TW asked me if I wanted a tiny trot ( now when I say this I mean she literally says "do yu want to trot", I don't mean she asks me with her leg aids like a normal rider would lol). Now this was interesting...........it has been a long time since we'd trotted so I thought I'd give it a go and in fact it was rather nice!! Only a wee one though as TW said too much might break me, maybe next week we might do a bit more. FAIR ENOUGH! You're the boss ;-)

Did a wee spot of leg yielding and halting which I like and then we came to nearly the end of the path where we caught up with Robster. Now his owner is NAUGHTY, she likes sneaking into places we're not allowed to go into. Today she suggested we see if we could walk round the edge of a field, TW although obvioulsy worried agreed. Now that nobster automatically started jogging in the field but I just marched along like a good cob. We went down the edge and then started to go across but Robs mum saw someone in a van...TW said we'd better go back so we turned round and started back round the field.

That old fecker was jogging and storming ahead and it was getting on my nerves so I kindly suggested a wee trot....TW declined but to trot so I said OK LOVE....CANTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehehehe me and Rob cantered to the end of the field. TW was worried but you could tell she was loving it really ( I could hear her laughing). Robs mum was worried too as he has poorly old legs, very sorry said I . Rob was by now too excited and off he jogged with his mum trying to stop him.

TW was making me walk ever so nicely but then I realised that old get was out of sight! Feck that I thought! I jumped into a speedy turbo trot and before TW could think twice CAAAAAAAAANTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
Amazing!!!!! Even faster this time! I skidded past Rob, his mum was worried and said "No its not a good idea", TW replied " I bleddy know we're only meant to be walking!!" hehehehe!!! Robbie was peed off at me so before he could get passed me I aimed my two hind feet at his chest! Take that you old focker!! Dont worry I wasn't going to kick him really.................

The old bogger squeezed by me with his owner chuntering at me for being a bad boy! Yeah right! And off they jogged. TW giggled all the way back to the yard, I woz SO PROUD OF MYSELF!

When we got back she put my PJ's on cos I was a bit sweatty and put extra salt in my feed. She was worried that I'd tie up after all my shenanigans...I hope not cos we're meant to be out again tomorrow. RM says we had better stick to the roads this time! Hehehe! Then it was back to the field with Bracky for a wee snooze and some more grass. Can't wait until Brack can come with us again!

STILL NO SNOW!!!! How bizarre!!!! Its a helluva lot milder this winter methinks!!

Me and baby Brack came in earlyish again this mo for some lovely yummy hay. The Worrier seemed to be a bit possessed and decided we woz gunna go on a hack! When I had a lesson yesterday! And just the two of us! Jeez, this will be interesting I thought!

She tacked me up super quick (TW has no interest in either of us looking smart hehehe), I'm still touchy about my hooflets being picked out (that damn fronty lefty again) but cos the ground was frozen in the field my tootsies were clear of any crappola!

Ever the worrier, she sent some kind of message to ZoZo's owner in case owt happpened to us on our jaunt, she reckoned we'd be gone about an hour...surely not?? We've never been that far before without company!!!

So off we set, Brack got some extra hay to keep him quiet but the old fecker still insisted on screaming his head off as we left! I did my best Arab impression, huffing and puffing (watch out people of the village I WILL BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!!!) through the village and onto the main road ( I decided I wanted to walk on the grass verge!). then right turn and onto the bridlepath. A kind soul let us pull out in front on them , think the could tell TW was nervous.

Now I've been this way many a time, even taking the lead on a number of ocassions and helping less confident horses but doing it on my own is another thing. Ain't that wierd?? We passed the stubbly bit where we had our lesson and TW was getting cross cos I was wiggling about all over the place....Note to TW - IF YOU SIT STRAIGHT AND RIDE PROPERLY I DONT WIGGLE!!!!

TBH she annoyed me so much I tried to turn back a few times (napping she said - that ain't a nap lady, a nap is what I should have been having in the stable!!) but we agreed to keep going. In that way I'm a lucky guy, some peeps might have smacked my appley ass when I tried to turn for home, not TW though :) She did say that maybe now I'm a big boy that I need to start behaving a bit better (so do you love!!) and she got a bit sad cos she thinks she's ruined me( I used to be really sensitive and sharp) but I think she understands really that its the EPSM that makes me like this.

We got into a nice rhythm, I was striding out quite nicely if I do say so myself! It really helps when she keeps the reins the same length and her hands as a pair. The nasty hairdryer things weren't on which was good so we went past the farmyard spaceship place, across the coally type stuff and got as far as the house! Woohoo we'd never been this far alone before!!

Cheeky mynci wanted me to keep going!!! We went past the house and then my feet started to hurt :( I thought she'd let us go back but she just let me have a wee stretch and a nibble of grass and lo and behold I felt a bit better...so on we went! Feet really shouldnt hurt in winter - stupid grass!!! Down the bridlepath, round the wee graveyard (where we saw some bit hawk thing! Amazing!) then back along the bridlepath. On the homeward stretch I got a bit grumpy and tried to trot a few times but wasnt allowed :( Got told off for pulling faces too - DUH I WAS TRYING TO TELL YOU THERE WAS A DAWG BEHIND!!!!! Loser!

When we got back to the village she kindly jumped off me and let me have a cool down. Very kind. Then more hay and my grub! Yum. We even got some hay and grass in the field to keep us warm! Amazing!!

She's a good broad bean really!
